MPay is a part of the T.F. Group umbrella. It was formed in Joint Venture with Upaid Systems Ltd. Upaid is an Anglo-French mobile payments company serving customers in Western and Central Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South America.

Upaid holds an extensive portfolio of over 1,000 granted patents, most in the arena of e and m-commerce. Their patented mobile payment delivery platforms, and the services enabled by them, include: Text-cheque™, an SMS bill payment and authorisation product; and UPP (Unified Payment Platform) Upaid's complete m-payments service for mobile operators, financial services organisations and merchants seeking to offer mobile payment applications to consumers.

Upaid’s technology also drives the Visa Mobile Service (VMS) in the CEMEA region, which enables customers to top-up mobile phones via SMS text messages which authorises payment from a Visa debit or credit card. Upaid is also the only company to have rolled-out a mobile payment service for credit card bill payment, which is for the Cofinoga store card group in France, serving 25,000 retail outlets and enabling card holders to pay bills by text and choose the amount of the outstanding balance they wish to settle.
